Before After Overgrown Land Before ClearingOne year after clearing overgrown property

Land Clearing

Our method of clearing land is called “grubbing”.  Unlike the popular method of “Forestry Mulching” which grinds brush and small trees off at ground level, our method rips unwanted growth out by the roots.  There are several advantages to our method:

  • There is less long-term maintenance required. Certain type of brush, especially Chinese privet, Supplejack, and Wisteria, all of which are prevalent in Central Arkansas, grow back quickly if they are merely trimmed or ground off. Without removing the roots, your land can be overgrown again in a matter of months.
  • The land becomes more usable. Since roots are removed, the land surface is obstruction free and is ready for your construction projects, garden, or as an extension to your lawn.
  • Biomass is hauled away or burned, depending on the scope of the project. With forestry mulching, a thick layer of mulch is left behind that acts as an inviting habit for disease, fungi, and pests such as fire ants and snakes.

Gravel Driveways

Old or new - we're here for you!

We offer both new construction and maintenance of gravel driveways.  We have the equipment and experience to clear a path and cut a new driveway to proper grade.  Rather than simply “striking out through the woods”, we will evaluate the terrain and potential washout points of your property and help you determine the best path for your new driveway.

Do you have an existing driveway that is constantly washing out? We will evaluate it and determine what, if anything, can be done about it.  Often the solution is as simple as re-grading and installing culverts at washout points.

Trenching

Agricultural Water Lines & More

What in the world is an agricultural water line? Simply put it’s a money saver and a back saver, as well!  Here on our own little farm, we water our animals and our garden with well water.  We use “city water” for our home, but we reclaimed the well that was already on our property and ran lines to our barn, orchard, and garden area with free water.  Strategically placed water spigots do away with the necessity of carrying heavy buckets or wrestling with hundreds of feet of garden hoses.  If you have an unused well on your own property and would like to water your plants and animals conveniently and with impunity, give us a call!

We also offer trenching services for other applications such as drainage and utility installation.
